Welcome to Arkansas Photographed!!

Arkansas boasts some of the most beautiful and diverse photographic subjects in the US . . . from the delta swamp-like areas in the east to the mountainous, forested areas of the west and northwest. Home to over 50 state parks, 2 million acres plus of national forests, 600,000 acres of lakes, and 9,700 miles of streams, Arkansas is a "natural" for photography.

With thousands upon thousands of new websites uploaded to the Internet every day, it becomes increasingly difficult to find the things you're looking for. This is especially true of graphics and, more specifically, photographs. "Arkansas Photographed" was developed to let visitors know what the Natural State is about. The site will continue to develop with plans to increase content and variety.

"Arkansas Photographed" photographer, Steve Twaddle, was born and raised on a mid-western farm in Illinois. His daily interaction with the elements, nature, and landscape early in life are evident in his photography. In the last two years Steve has become more involved in his hobbies of photography and hiking in Arkansas' State Parks, State and National Forests, and Wildlife Management Areas. His work has been published in Digital Camera Magazine and Arkansas Fish and Wildlife. Steve has also contributed photos to the National Wildlife Federation in a story addressing the issues of the White River Navigation Project and, recently, provided the cover photo to a brochure concerning the Grand Prairie Irrigation Project. He has also produced a promotional CD for Garvan Woodland Gardens, Hot Springs National Park, AR. Steve's work is currently on exhibit in the Arkansas Artist's Gallery in the Cox Creative Center in the Little Rock Rivermarket District. Steve has led several workshops including, Bedford Camera and Video, Ft. Smith, AR, Cameramart, Little Rock, AR, University of Arkansas Fort Smith, Arkansas Game and Fish, and White River National Wildlife Refuge. He currently uses a Canon 1Ds and Canon D60 digital camera to capture his part of "Arkansas Photographed."
